"Sex and the City" creator Darren Star struck gold when he adapted Candace Bushnell’s newspaper columns into the HBO comedy, and now he’s hoping to do the same with with new subject matter: toddlers.

Star is adapting a book called "The Honest Toddler" for a television project, reports Deadline.com. Star will develop and executive produce the adaptation of the book, which was published last month.

The project is described as "Modern Family" from a child’s point of view. It’s considered for either broadcast or cable.

"The Honest Toddler" started as a Twitter feed by Bunmi Laditan, who started the account in 2012 after a tough week with her 2-year-old daughter. The observations include thoughts such as, "Tonight’s bedtime story was about three pigs struggling with repeat home invasions. Thanks for the new fear.”
