One of the stars of HBO’s "The Wire" has been cast as the male lead in a new Showtime drama. EW.com’s Inside TV reports that Dominic West will play the lead in the pilot "The Affair."

His character, Noah, is a married high school teacher with four kids who meets a woman whom he believes is his soul mate. The show looks at how an affair affects two marriages, with the story told from both the male and the female perspective.
