ABC has bought a comedy from "Parenthood" producers Jason Katims and Sarah Watson, reports Deadline.com.
The untitled project is about a woman struggling to climb the ladder at a Chicago law firm, the story says. The project, written by "Parenthood" co-executive producer Watson with Katims supervising, was first developed last season and sold to Fox amid bidding from Fox, ABC and NBC.
Fox, though, ended up picking male-focused shows, and ABC followed up once the script was released, the story adds. ABC is refocusing the project so that it better fits the network’s lineup.
Katims, who’s also known for "Friday Night Lights," has a new series, "About a Boy," coming up at NBC.
