An ABC drama series shut down production when its lead actor was a no-show amid a dispute with the production company. Deadline.com reports that "Castle" shut down Friday when Nathan Fillion, who plays title character Richard Castle, didn’t show up for work.
Fillion is in a dispute with ABC Studios over his desire for a four-day work week, the story reports. His absence Friday may have been his way to send a message, the piece notes.
The show will continue to shoot this week, and Fillion is back on the set. The series was picked up for a sixth season in May, and is one of ABC’s most-watched dramas.

The petulant behavior of actors never ceases to amaze me.
