One of the judges on ABC’s "The Taste" has been dropped from the show. Deadline.com reports that the network opted not to pick up the contract of Brian Malarkey for the show’s upcoming second season.

The food show is reportedly looking for a new judge to replace Malarkey.

In a statement to the food blog Eater, Malarkey said he was "disappointed to part ways and not return for Season 2, but onward and upward! I’m looking forward to pursuing future television projects and continuing to grow our restaurant group."

"The Taste" was renewed by ABC May 14, even though it struggled with ratings during its first season, the story says. The show’s other judges — Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson and Ludo Lefebvre — are returning for season two.
