Actress and producer Anne Heche has signed a multiyear first-look production pact with Universal Television, The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.

"Under the new pact, the former ‘Save Me’ star will star in Universal TV programs that would air on NBC or on other broadcast and cable networks," the story reports.

Said Jennifer Salke, president of NBC Entertainment: “Anne has proven, time and again, to be both a wonderfully gifted actor and a hard-working producer with fantastic taste. We’re looking forward to working together on all fronts.”

The report notes: "Heche recently starred [in] and executive produced ‘Save Me,’ which wrapped up its one-season run on NBC in June. She will also recur on ‘The Michael J. Fox Show,’ which premieres Sept. 26 as part of NBC’s new Thursday comedy block."

Heche has had a successful run in features but also has a solid track record in television, including an Emmy nomination for "Gracie’s Choice" in 2004 and a Daytime Emmy win for "Another World" in 1991. Her other TV credits include "Men in Trees" and "Hung."
