The CW’s "Arrow" has cast a love interest for Arrow. TheWrap.com reports that the title character, played by Stephen Arnell, will be setting his sights on Caity Lotz, star of the 2012 horror film "The Pact" and also previously seen on "Mad Men."

Lotz will play the Black Canary, a character in the DC Comics franchise who is a "superhero vigilante who fights crime using martial arts and a sonic scream attack," according to a Wiki site devoted to the characters.

Lotz will start out in a recurring role, but is expected to become a series regular as her character becomes the love interest for Arrow, the piece notes. Black Canary was once ranked as the 71st greatest comic book character ever by the comic magazine Wizard, the story says.

Lotz previously had a recurring role on AMC’s "Mad Men" and starred in the mockumentary "Death Valley" on MTV.
