NBC’s ‘Parks and Recreation’ Bringing Aboard a TV Legend

"Parks and Recreation," NBC’s only returning fall comedy series, will feature an appearance by a TV comedy legend. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that "Happy Days" star Henry Winkler has been cast in a guest role on the show.

Winkler will play Jean-Ralphio’s father, although it’s not clear whether the father will be as crazy as his son, played by Ben Schwartz. Last season, the show tapped "Saturday Night Live" alum Jenny Slate to play Jean-Ralphio’s sister.

Winkler, who played the Fonz on "Happy Days" and more recently appeared in "Arrested Development," will appear in the sixth-season premiere and possibly return for future episodes, the story says.

The show will return Sept. 26 with an hourlong episode set in London.
