Oxygen Pulls the Plug on High-Profile Series

Oxygen has announced its decision to cancel a show. EW.com’s Inside TV reports that the cable channel will bring the reality series "The Glee Project" to an end after two seasons.

The decision was made several weeks ago and is unrelated to the recent death of "Glee" star Cory Monteith, the piece notes. The show featured contestants competing for a role on the Fox musical series.

Blake Jenner, who won last season, secured a seven-episode arc on "Glee’s" fourth season, and recently was promoted to series regular for the show’s fifth season.
