Syfy has ordered a drama pilot for a project based on an apocalyptic fantasy movie. Deadline.com reports that the cable channel ordered a 90-minute pilot for "Dominion," which is based on characters from the 2010 movie "Legion."

The project is described as a supernatural action drama set in the future, after a war between angels and mankind has transformed the Earth. The project will be directed by Scott Stewart, who directed the feature film and who is also co-writing the script.

Syfy is also narrowing its choices for additional pickups, with four projects leading the list. They include another adaptation of a movie, "12 Monkeys," as we reported earlier this week; and "Clandestine," described as a space drama about mercenaries. Also reportedly in the running are "Proof," about a wealthy man who offers a reward for anyone who can prove there’s life after death; and "Sojourn," about a space detective investigating a murder on a spaceship.
