Two Broadcasters Lead the Pack by a Wide Margin in News & Documentary Emmy Award Nominations — We Have the Full List of Nominees

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences today announced the nominations for the 34th annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards, with two broadcasters — CBS and PBS — way out ahead of the pack in total number of nominations.

CBS raked in a total of 46 nods, with PBS close behind with 45. HBO came in a distant third with 21 nominations, followed by ABC with 14, NBC with 13, CNN with eight and MSNBC with five.

Winners will be announced Oct. 1 in a gala ceremony at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, in New York.

David Fanning, executive producer of "Frontline," will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, as previously announced.
