"Big Brother" delivered a strong performance in the ratings Thursday night, helping CBS coast to a dominant win for the night, based on Nielsen overnights.

The network reported that the reality show’s 7.04 million total viewers for the live eviction episode, in which Howard Overby was booted from the house, represented "Big Brother’s" largest audience of the season. The show’s 2.5 average rating in the key demo of viewers 18-49 matched last week’s season high in that demo, and the show also delivered a 2.8 in adults 25-54 to win its time slot in key demos.

CBS filled out its prime-time lineup with repeat programming, with the highlight there being a 2.1 average in the 18-49 demo for "The Big Bang Theory," according to TVbytheNumbers.com. CBS rolled to an easy win for prime time in the demo, with the best any of the other English-language broadcast nets could manage being a 1.0 average.

Fox aired all repeats and finished a distant fifth for the night, while ABC tried out a lineup of all new programs only to be matched by NBC with a mix of originals and reruns.

The highlight for ABC was an improved result for "Wipeout," which bounced back from last week’s all-time low of 1.0 to register a 1.2 this week. "Motive" remained at the series-low 0.8 it delivered last week, while "Rookie Blue" ticked down one-tenth of a point to a season-low 1.0.

NBC opened with a repeat of "America’s Got Talent" (0.9 average in 18-49), then saw a fresh installment of "The Winner Is" equal last week’s series low of 0.9 and a new episode of "Hollywood Game Night" slip one-tenth to a series-low 1.2.

For prime time overall, CBS’s 1.8 average led the way in adults 18-49, followed by Univision (1.2), ABC (1.0), NBC (1.0) and Fox (0.6). CBS also won handily in total viewers, averaging 6.3 million to lead ABC (4.7 million), NBC (4.0 million), Univision (3.2 million) and Fox (1.6 million).
