A new Fox show has come under fire for content that a watchdog group says is inappropriate. The Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker reports that Fox’s new "Animation Domination High-Def" attracted the attention of the Parents Television Council, which is taking offense at segments such as "Scientifically Accurate Ninja Turtles" and other shorts that make fun of cartoons and include graphic content.

The "ADHD" show lampoons a variety of issues such as sexting. In targeting the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" franchise, the "Scientifically Accurate" segment points out, among other things, that turtles carry salmonella. It also includes anatomical descriptions that some viewers might find offensive.

"Even if Fox selected only the most benign programs from the ‘ADHD’ block to spin into a half-hour time slot on Sunday nights, there’s no getting around the fact that the online counterpart makes available mind-blowingly explicit parodies of cartoons beloved by millions of children, all without any parental controls or age restrictions whatsoever," PTC President Tim Winter wrote in a letter.

Winter wants Fox to add age restrictions to the online content, and to stop making cartoons that parody animated characters like the Ninja Turtles, the story says.

A Fox spokeswoman declined to comment.
