Oprah Responds to Switzerland’s Apology Over Alleged Racism Incident — and Has a Few Words for Lindsay Lohan While She’s at It … and Then There’s the ‘Inhaling’ Comment

Oprah Winfrey continues to field questions about an alleged racism incident that she said took place at a high-end store in Zurich, Switzerland. She talks about the incident in at least two new video interviews — one of which appears below, while the other can be found at this BBC News link.

Her latest comments came after she received an apology from the Swiss tourism office. Separately, the store clerk who was apparently singled out in the incident denied that it involved racism.

Meanwhile, Winfrey offered an encouraging update on Lindsay Lohan, which is included near the end of the two-minute "Extra" clip, below.

Winfrey also appears to slip in a confession about smoking pot, if you read between the lines, in the "Extra" clip below — watch for her comment about "inhaling," around the 30-second mark.

Winfrey addresses racism most directly on the BBC clip, saying she regrets identifying Switzerland as the country where the incident took place, and she’s sorry the incident blew up in the media.

Here’s the "Extra" clip:
