Piracy of a CBS series has seen a spike, with particularly large increases in cities where the network is blacked out amid a contract dispute with Time Warner Cable. Deadline.com cites data from TorrentFreak, which says the increase in illegal downloads of the summer hit "Under the Dome" puts the show among the most-pirated programs.

Piracy of "Under the Dome" jumped 34% over the weekend, while in New York City, where CBS is blacked out, the piracy rate more than doubled, with the show making up 3% of all downloads in the U.S. this week, up from 1.3% the previous week, according to data from TorrentFreak.

The site said that more sampling is required before coming to conclusions.
