President Obama, no stranger to the late-night talk circuit, has lined up his first late-night appearance since the election campaign. Obama will appear Tuesday, Aug. 6, on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," marking his fourth appearance on the NBC show since taking office, reports The New York Times‘ Bill Carter.

Carter writes, "Mr. Obama tends to make his late-night visits in some sort of order, mainly with the bigger hosts. He visited with David Letterman last September and with Jon Stewart on Oct. 19. But he was a guest with Mr. Leno even more recently, on Oct. 24."

Those visits were linked to his re-election efforts. On this appearance, he will talk about "job initiatives and the economy," NBC said in a statement.
