The cable channel Syfy is bringing back a drama series. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that the channel renewed the time-traveling series "Continuum" for a third season.
The show ranks as the No. 1 original cable drama in its Friday time period in total viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. Adding in DVR viewers, the show is drawing an average of 728,000 viewers in the 18-49 demo, a 21% increase from its first season.
The series stars Rachel Nichols as Kiera Cameron, a police officer from the future who is sent to the present day, where she tries to stop a group of terrorists from wreaking destruction.
The drama will return for a third season of 13 episodes in 2014. Syfy is currently focusing on filling out its 2014 lineup, the piece notes.
