Nearly $1 million in Adtec Digital equipment is supporting Charter Communications’ recently launched customer information channel The Charter Channel, Adtec said. Adtec’s playback systems have been installed in 180 of Charter’s largest headends to distribute the channel, which launched last fall and disseminates customer service information to nearly 3 million Charter homes.
SportsNet rolling out HD coverage
Comcast SportsNet is rolling out high-definition game coverage starting this year. The regional sports network is using Chyron’s Duet HD 2D/3D graphics and animation system for its mobile production unit, slated to produce more than 200 telecasts a year in HD for the NBA, NHL and MLB teams in Philadelphia and Baltimore/Washington.
Ad tracking with AdVantage
AudioAudit plans to officially roll out its AdVantage program today. The backend software system is a broadcast verification process to help ad agencies and broadcasters track and determine whether ads are being run in the right place.
