Fox Cable Networks Group has promoted Rob Evanko to VP, sales operations. Mr. Evanko will relocate from Fox Cable’s Dallas office to the Los Angeles headquarters. He previously served as VP, sales and marketing, for Fox Cable’s Southwest and Rocky Mountain regions and will now handle sales support for Fox Cable’s 12 regional sales offices and the Los Angeles headquarters. He will be responsible for contract administration across the more than 2,000 system agreements governing the individual Fox Cable networks and also supervise all field sales training on behalf of FX, Fox Sports Net, National Geographic Channel, Fox Movie Channel, Fox Sports World, Fox Sports en Espa ‘ol, Speed Channel, Fox Sports Digital Atlantic, Central and Pacific, and Fuel as well as FoxVOD and other new technologies. Before joining Fox Cable Mr. Evanko co-founded Dallas marketing firm NewMedium Communications after spending eight years with Disney/ABC Cable Networks as a director in the Atlanta office and later VP, sales and marketing in Disney’s office in Dallas. Mr. Evanko entered the cable programming business after serving stints with advertising agencies.
