The case isn’t closed on the futuristic legal drama “Century City.” Although the pilot failed to make the fall schedule, CBS is now thisclose to picking up the Universal Network Television production for midseason, sources said. Set in a law firm in the year 2053, the cast is expected to include Hector Elizondo and Nestor Carbonell as attorneys and partners. The show will be executive produced by Paul Attanasio, Katie Jacobs and Ed Zuckerman, whose past credits have been mostly in features. CBS declined comment.
