They need a lawyer right now …

We know L.A. residents are jaded about movie and TV production, but don’t Chicagoans welcome producers like a deep-dish pizza? Some residents of the Chicago area known as the Gold Coast have gone to court seeking an injunction to shut down production of a new daily reality show called “Starting Over,” which is billed as a “real-life drama.” There will be a showdown Tuesday in Cook County Circuit Court, where attorneys for NBC Enterprises and producers Bunim/Murray will seek their own cease-and-desist injunction against the neighbors.
Part of the problem apparently stems from a casting call seeking women with criminal records and gang ties to be among the half-dozen people who will live in the house while counselors try to straighten out their lives. That was a mistake made by a casting assistant, say the producers, who insist all the women will be of good character, despite their troubles.
Among those lined up are a 32-year-old breast cancer survivor and a 62-year-old seeking a new life. An NBC spokesman insisted the show will start airing Sept. 8, as scheduled, whatever happens in court.
