CSI Rehire: Eads, Fox May Return to Work

It has been reported that “CSI” series regulars Jorja Fox and George Eads might return to the hit CBS procedural drama, just days after they were fired over a pay dispute.

Mr. Eads said at the Television Critics Association press tour Wednesday he felt the whole incident was a “misunderstanding,” because he had overslept his first day back at work and was not skipping production over salary demands. At CBS’s TCA press tour session last week Viacom Co-President and Chief Operating Officer Leslie Moonves said neither Mr. Eads nor Ms. Fox had shown up for their first day of work. “There comes a point were a contract is a contract, ” he said. Mr. Moonves also said CBS offered the actors a raise for the season, even though contractually it wasn’t required.

“CSI” was not in production last week but resumes shooting Monday. CBS had no comment on the rehiring of Mr. Eads and Ms. Fox as of press time.
