Viacom Stations Get New Managers

A series of changes in the Southwest means new executives will be running Viacom-owned stations in three markets. Gary Schneider has been appointed senior VP and station manager of CBS station KTVT-TV and UPN station KTXA-TV in Dallas. Bill Maples and Michael Reed have been appointed VP and general manager of UPN station KAUT-TV in Oklahoma City and CBS station KEYE-TV in Austin, Texas, respectively.

The announcement was made by Steve Mauldin, president and general manager of the Southwest region for Viacom Television Stations Group. He also named Sue Stuecheli to the newly created position of VP and regional controller for the station cluster.

Mr. Maples was VP and station manager of KTXA. Mr. Schneider most recently was VP and general manager of KEYE. Mr. Reed most recently was chief revenue and promotion officer of the Communication Corporation of America, the owner of 28 local TV stations. Ms. Stuecheli was VP and general manager of KAUT.
