Seasoned music executive Del R. Bryant on Monday took on the role of president and CEO of BMI, announced Kenneth J. Elkins, chairman of the BMI board of directors. Mr Bryant was appointed last April by Mr. Elkins and longtime BMI President and CEO Frances W. Preston.

“The board is pleased that we found the best-qualified leadership within BMI,” Mr. Elkins said. “[Mr. Bryant] brings unique skills and critical experience to the challenge of managing a 21st century music enterprise.”

Mr. Bryant has spent 32 years with BMI and most recently served as executive VP.
