Jeff Block, the general manager of Cox Television-owned KTVU-TV since 2001, will ascend to a new position as head of Cox Television’s overall strategic digital efforts as soon as his successor at the San Francisco Fox affiliate can be found and installed. Mr. Block’s new position will report directly to Cox Television President Andy Fisher and Executive VP Bruce Baker.

“Jeff has had a great 17-year tenure with Cox Television to date, and this move allows us to use his analytical and planning skills on a larger scale,” Mr. Baker said. “He has been invaluable in growing KTVU-TV’s presence in the greater San Francisco market and now will help us grow our digital presence nationwide.” Mr. Block joined KTVU-TV as local sales manager in 1987.
