DreamWorks, Anime Network Enter Ad Commitment Deal

DreamWorks teamed with Anime Network’s 24-hour cable channel and video-on-demand service in an ad commitment that entails the full airing of the 75-second trailer for the new anime film “Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence.”

Anime said the ad buy signals that Anime’s dual platforms are both recognized as a place to reach the 18 to 34 male demographic. It’s also a nod toward the potential of advertising in the VOD platform, an area that is nascent but generating substantial interest from advertisers.

“Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence” is the first and only anime film to screen in competition at the Cannes Film Festival, Anime said. It is the second anime film that DreamWorks subsidiary Go Fish Pictures has released.
