Producer John Irwin Breaks Out on His Own

Entertainment, comedy and reality producer John Irwin has formed Irwin Entertainment, his own company.

Mr. Irwin, most recently VP, development and production for Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video, will continue to develop with Mr. Michaels, in addition to actively producing and developing series and specials under his own banner from Los Angeles.

Mr. Irwin recently completed NBC’s “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular 2004 — Live” and is executive producing 12 episodes of “Bad Boys of Comedy” for Paramount Studios. He is also the supervising producer for 26 episodes of “Russell Simmons’ Def Poetry” for HBO.

For Irwin Entertainment, Mr. Irwin is executive producer of Country Music Television’s “The Warren Brothers” and the Noggin pilot “Scriptless.”

Mr. Irwin spent four years as a producer for “Late Night With Conan O’Brien,” two years as a producer at “MadTV” and has been at Mr. Michaels’ company for the past five years.

Mr. Irwin has also produced numerous short films for “Saturday Night Live.”
