Jacobs Gets Alternative for Fox Television Studios

Former Buena Vista Productions executive Holly Jacobs is joining Fox Television Studios in the newly created post of executive VP, alternative development. The move was announced Wednesday by studio president Angela Shapiro.

Ms. Jacobs will work closely with Fox Television Studios Executive VP, Alternative Productions, David Martin. Both report directly to Ms. Shapiro.

Ms. Jacobs was executive VP, programming and development at Buena Vista, where she developed programming for broadcast and cable networks and for first-run syndication. She worked on ABC’s reality series “The Family,” the syndicated version of the game show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” and afternoon chat program “The Wayne Brady Show.”

A former ABC Daytime executive, Ms. Jacobs was a co-executive producer on “The Sally Jesse Raphael Show” and a producer on a number of documentary series, including A&E’s 12-part “The Class of the 20th Century.”
