NBC Universal’s “The Jane Pauley Show” was downgraded Monday on KXAS-TV in Dallas, the first NBC owned-and-operated station to do so.

Originally in the 3 p.m. (CT) time slot, a news lead-in, “Pauley” was moved to 12 p.m. KXAS switched the show with “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which was in the time period last year. According to Nielsen Media Research, “Pauley” had a 1.0/3 household average in Dallas over its first four weeks, down 57 percent from “Ellen’s” performance in the time period last September.

In Dallas “Pauley” was down 44 percent from its average lead-in (1.8/5) in the 3 p.m. time period. The show was also downgraded on Monday by ABC affiliate WKRN-TV in Nashville from 3 p.m. (CT) to 11 a.m.
