TBS has acquired two new shows to boost its late-night Friday comedy lineup: The HBO sketch comedy program “Mr. Show,” starring Bob Odenkirk and David Cross, and an animated half-hour series called “Baby Blues,” based on the nationally syndicated comic strip about a young couple raising two kids.

Seth McFarlane’s “Family Guy,” which TBS airs on Wednesdays, has also been added to the late-night Friday block, as has the Matt Groening sci-fi cartoon “Futurama,” which the network previously aired in a trial run for a few months last year.

The block begins at 1:15 a.m. (ET) and has been dubbed Too Funny to Sleep.
