Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan., has announced a Senate hearing Tuesday Sept. 28 to determine “whether the existing ratings systems for the video game, television and motion picture industries effectively help consumers discern what is appropriate content for their children.” Slated to testify are: Dan Glickman, president and CEO, Motion Picture Association of America; Jack Valenti, former chairman and CEO of MPAA; Patricia Vance, president, Entertainment Software Rating Board; Kim Thompson, director, Kids Risk Project; Patti Miller, director of children and media program, Children Now; David Kinney, CEO, PSVratings, and Anthony Podesta, co-chairman, Podesta Mattoon.
