TBS plans to turn to the video-on-demand platform to promote its upcoming reality show “The Real Gilligan’s Island” as the network launches its first VOD slate with Comcast Oct. 15.

The reality show premieres Nov. 30 on TBS, and for the month and a half leading up to the debut, TBS will offer behind-the-scenes footage, such as casting calls. Viewers will be able to see the auditions of finalists for the famous roles on the show and then can go to Comcast.net to vote on which person they think will ultimately be cast.

The winner receives a trip for two to the British Virgin Islands. Episodes of the show will repeat on VOD within a few days of their premiere on TBS. The TBS VOD service will also include episodes of “The Mansion,” and the upcoming “He’s a Lady.”
