Stephen McPherson, president of ABC prime-time entertainment, announced Tuesday that two of the network’s first-year comedies are getting full-season pickups.
“Rodney,” which stars comedian Rodney Carrington as a father and husband, was created by Don Reo, Damon Wayans and Ric Swartzlander. The Tuesday night half-hour series is executive-produced by Ric Swartzlander and David Himelfarb. The series is produced by Touchstone Television.
Friday night family half-hour “Complete Savages” was created by Julie Thacker-Scully and Mike Scully. Ms. Thacker-Scully, Mr. Scully, Mel Gibson and Bruce Davey are executive producers. The series is produced by Nothing Can Go Wrong Now Productions and Mel Gibson’s Icon Productions in association with NBC Universal Television.
