CBS Wins Week in Adults 18 to 49, Total Viewers

CBS won the week of Nov.8-14 in both total viewers and the adults 18 to 49 demographic, thanks to the Country Music Awards special and the continued performance of its procedural dramas and reality series.

CBS’s “CSI” was the top-rated show of the week in adults 18 to 49 with a 10.8 rating and the top-rated show in total viewers, garnering 29.64 million, according to Nielsen Media Research.

NBC’s “ER” came in second in the demo with a 9.4, followed by CBS’s “CSI: Miami” (8.1), “The Apprentice” (7.8) and “Survivor: Vanuatu-Islands of Fire” (7.3). ABC’s “Desperate Housewives,” which has been one of the top-rated shows of the season, was pre-empted by the American Music Awards ceremony, which ranked 13th in the demo with a 5.7.

Among total viewers “CSI: Miami was second with 22.09 million, followed by CBS’s “Without a Trace (20.46 million), “Survivor” (19.99 million) and “ER” (19.83 million).

CBS scored a 4.8 among adults 18 to 49, followed by NBC (4.2), ABC (3.9), Fox (3.2) The WB (1.6) and UPN (1.5).

CBS was first in total viewers with 15.04 million, followed by NBC (11.26 million), ABC (10.41 million), Fox (7.35 million), The WB (3.77 million) and UPN (3.71 million).
