Decker Promoted at Telepictures

David Decker has been named senior VP, business and legal affairs, Telepictures Productions. The announcement was made Tuesday by Telepictures Executive VP and general manager Hilary Estey McLoughlin.

Mr. Decker will oversee the company’s business and legal affairs, including negotiating and drafting license fee and production service agreements, rights and format acquisitions and exploitation, and talent agreements for all formats, genres and television platforms.

Prior to joining Telepictures, Mr. Decker spent six years at Stone Stanley Entertainment, most recently as senior VP, business and legal affairs, a post he took in 2002, having started with the company in 1998 as VP, business affairs. Before that, he was a production attorney in the business affairs department of Buena Vista Television, responsible for all legal aspects of “The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show,” and a contract attorney in the legal department of Paramount. Mr. Decker has also practiced civil litigation and served as an independent legal consultant to a number of entertainment companies.
