Modlin Joins 20th Television Research Team

Joanne Burns, 20th Television’s senior VP, marketing, research and new media, announced Monday Joanne Modlin has been named VP, research, for the company effective immediately.

Ms. Modlin will be responsible for assisting Ms. Burns in overseeing the day-to-day activities of 20th Television’s distribution, cable and network research activities. Based in Los Angeles, Ms. Modlin will report directly to Ms. Burns.

Most recently, Ms. Modlin served as VP, program research, for the Sci Fi Channel in New York, where she created the cable network’s research department.

Between 1998 and 2001 she was VP of research for TNT’s original’s programming division in Los Angeles. Before that she worked at ABC Television, as director of program research.

Ms. Modlin has also worked for credit card company American Express and advertising agencies Backer Spielvogel Bates and Bozell Worldwide.
