Spending on network television rose 14 percent to $16.5 billion during the first nine months of 2004, according to data released Monday by TNS Media Intelligence/CMR. Spot TV rose 9.4 percent to $12.3 billion, cable TV increased 16.1 percent to $10.5 billion and national syndication rose 17.3 percent to $2.9 billion.
Total advertising expenditures rose 10.3 percent to $102.4 billion.
