E! Networks executive VP Mark Sonnenberg has resigned his position effective December 1, the company announced Wednesday. In a prepared statement, the network said there are no plans to name a replacement. Mr. Sonnenberg was hired by former E! President and CEO Mindy Herman in 2001. Ms. Herman was replaced by Ted Harbert in July.

“All of us at E! Networks are deeply saddened by Mark’s decision to resign from E! but we respect his desire to take on a new challenge that will allow him to contribute his unique creative and business abilities to the entertainment industry,” Mr. Harbert said.
