ABC Takes Christmas Week in Adults 18 to 49; CBS Wins in Viewers

In a week chock-full of holiday specials, ABC took the top spot in the adults 18 to 49 demo thanks to “Monday Night Football” and the network’s new Sunday night stalwart, “Desperate Housewives.”

The Monday night New England Patriots-Miami Dolphins game was the top-rated network program in the demo for the week ended Dec. 26, scoring a 6.4, according to Nielsen Media Research. A repeat of the debut episode of “Housewives” was second with a 5.2, followed by CBS’s “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “CSI” (both 5.1), and “CSI: Miami” (5.0).

CBS won the week in total viewers with 10.02 million, followed by ABC (9.65 million), NBC (6.98 million), Fox (5.81 million), UPN (2.78 million) and The WB (2.32 million).

Among total viewers, “Raymond” was No. 1 with 16.89 million, followed by “Monday Night Football” (16.18 million), “CSI” (15.83 million) and CBS’s “Two and a Half Men” (15.46 million) and “CSI: Miami” (14.84 million).

ABC won the week in the demo with a 3.4, followed by CBS (3.0), Fox (2.5), NBC (2.4), UPN (1.1) and The WB (0.9).
