Carney Promoted at Sony Pictures Television

Amy Carney has been promoted to executive VP of advertiser sales and operations at Sony Pictures Television, it was announced Tuesday by Steve Mosko, president, to whom Carney reports.

Ms. Carney leads the company’s advertiser sales operation, overseeing the sale of commercial inventory in all of Sony’s first-run and off-net programs, and directs the sales teams based in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.

Also under Ms. Carney’s supervision is the recently announced Sony Pictures Television Advertising Solutions, a cross-platform media initiative across a variety of the Sony entertainment companies.

Based in New York, Ms. Carney joined Sony in September 2003. Previously she served as VP of sales for Univision Online in New York, where she launched the company’s online sales division and created the national sales and client services team.

From 1999 to 2000, she served as a general manager, Ticketmaster Online-Citysearch, launching a local content information Web site and creating the sales, content, marketing and operations management team. Prior to that, she served as general sales manager at WTVR-TV, the CBS affiliate in Richmond, Va., and, from 1989 to 1994, as VP and general sales manager, Telerep in New York.
