Tom Brokaw returns to the TV screen for the first time since he handed off the “NBC Nightly News” desk to Brian Williams in December, when he and “Hardball” anchor Chris Matthews co-host an inaugural special, “Picking Our Presidents: Leaders and Legacies,” that will be telecast at 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16 and Wednesday, Jan. 19, on MSNBC.
