CBS announced Thursday the premiere date of the tenth installment of its castaway reality series “Survivor,” Thursday, Feb. 17 at 8 p.m. (ET).

“Survivor: Palau” will replace the domestic guru reality show “Wickedly Perfect,” which moves to its new Saturday 8 p.m. time slot beginning Feb. 19.

In a twist from the original format of the show, the 20 castaways will be grouped in one large tribe as opposed to two competing tribes. On the first episode, three castaways will be eliminated by tribal vote. The final survivor wins a $1 million prize.

“Survivor: Palau” is produced by SEG, Inc. Mark Burnett and Tom Shelly are the executive producers.

CBS also announced the identities of the 20 newest survivors on its morning news program, “The Early Show.” “Survivor: Palau” will feature a Las Vegas showgirl, a Texas hair stylist, a Florida dolphin trainer and a New York City firefighter.
