Propelled by the finale of weight loss reality series “The Biggest Loser” and “Law & Order: SVU,” NBC won Tuesday night in both the adults 18 to 49 demographic and in total viewers.

“SVU” was the top-rated show for the night in adults 18 to 49, scoring a 6.5 rating in the 10 p.m. hour, according to Nielsen Media Research. The final episode of “Loser” scored a 5.9 in the demo, coming in second for the night and earning itself a new series high. The second original episode of NBC’s “Committed” was a 4.4 in the demo at 9:30 p.m., down 2 percent from its premiere last Tuesday and down 25 percent from its “Loser” lead-in. CBS’s “The Amazing Race” beat “Committed” in the 9:30 p.m. half-hour by 9 percent (4.8 versus 4.4), but NBC still had its strongest Tuesday night performance of the season.

The two-hour season finale of Fox’s “Rebel Billionaire” scored a 1.6 rating in the demo, down 11 percent from its season average. The 9 p.m. hour average for “Billionaire” (1.7) was down 35 percent from new medical drama “House’s” average in the time period (2.6).

NBC won the night in adults 18 to 49 with a 5.8, followed by ABC and CBS, both with a 3.6, Fox (1.6), UPN (1.3) and The WB (1.1).
