NBCU, Volkswagen Enter Marketing Alliance

NBC Universal and Volkswagen have struck a multiyear global marketing alliance. Universal will integrate VW’s cars and brands in its films, TV, DVDs and worldwide theme parks, among other entertainment properties. VW will support NBCU’s media and entertainment-related properties through international media and promotional efforts.

Initial efforts will focus on U.S. and European markets, where Universal will have access to about 20 models under the VW brand. Both companies plan to develop mutual marketing programs.
