Three top executives at Time Warner Cable are leaving their posts within the coming weeks, with Chief Operating Officer John Billock and President Tom Baxter taking an early retirement as the company sets out to combine both titles into a single position. The company’s chief marketing officer, Chuck Ellis, also announced that he was leaving.

The departures coincide with a review of the company’s executive suite by Time Warner Cable Chairman Glenn Britt, and move the company toward its goal of simplifying and streamlining the cable giant’s top ranks.

As part of the changes, Mr. Billock and Mr. Baxter agreed to retire early. Mr. Baxter will depart by March 1, while Mr. Billock will stay on until a new president and COO is named.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ellis has decided to leave the company to spend more time with his family, pursue philanthropic activities and explore new business ventures. He will leave March 1.
