Cartoon Network today unveiled five new series and said it will air 400 new half-hour episodes during the 2005 season. The network is also starting Tickle U, a new programming franchise aimed at kids 2 to 5.

Tickle U shows will be designed to help children develop a sense of humor, and the block, which will air 9-11 a.m., will feature a distinctive on-air environment and a live adult host. Cartoon Network is also launching “Get Animated,” a campaign urging kids to increase their physical activity, since health advocates say kids are seeing too many ads for unhealthy foods.

New Cartoon network series include “Krypto the Superdog,” “Camp Lazlo,” “IGPX,” “The Big Eye” and “My Gym Partner is a Monkey.”

The network is also developing a series with Andre 3000 of Outkast.
