NBC confirmed Thursday that the Warner Bros. Television police and fire drama “Third Watch” will not return for another season.

“Third Watch,” which is produced by John Wells Productions, is currently in its sixth season. The show will return to NBC’s Friday night schedule after the initial run of rookie “Law & Order: Trial By Jury” and end with a series finale.
