The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences will honor six prominent Spanish-language television personalities at the academy’s upcoming annual meeting of trustees. The six individuals will receive honorary Emmy Awards at the event June 3 in San Antonio.

Set to receive the honor are newscaster Jorge Ramos, newsmagazine host Maria Celeste, “Sabado Gigante” host Mario Kreutzberger, soccer commentator Andres Cantor, soap opera star Veronica Castro and Univision Communications President and Chief Operating Officer Ray Rodriguez.

“We believe that each of these extraordinary people deserves the highest recognition for their contributions to the growth and quality of Spanish-language television in the United States,” said Academy Organizing Committee Chairman Raul Mateu.
