Sarah Smith has been named to the newly created position of director of development for the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Foundation. Ms. Smith will oversee corporate foundation relations, the expansion of NATAS educational programs and fund raising.

Ms. Smith most recently was director of corporate and media relations for the Goizueta Business School of Emory University in Atlanta. Before that she was unit manager for TBS SuperStation’s original production unit and managed the syndicated educational series “Feed Your Mind.” From 1992 to 1994 she was special operations director for Turner Broadcasting Systems and oversaw media relations for the SuperBowl XXVIII

Atlanta Host Committee.

Ms. Smith will report to foundation President Peter Price.
