Armstrong Joins Endemol USA as Head of Scripted

Programming: Endemol USA has hired Laura Armstrong to head the reality production company’s new scripted programming division as senior VP, where she will oversee the creation, development and production of scripted product. The announcement was made Tuesday by David Goldberg, president of Endemol USA.

Ms. Armstrong recently left the production company Hypnotic, where she was part of the producing team on Fox’s “The O.C.” as well as the half-hour hybrid pilot “Human Animals” for FX.

Prior to Hypnotic, Ms. Armstrong was executive VP of development and production for New Line Television, where she worked on the animated series “The Mask,” the reality series “Lost & Found,” the syndicated “Mortal Kombat” and the TV movie “Carmen” for MTV.

Endemol USA produces the reality series “Big Brother” for CBS, NBC’s “Fear Factor” and ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”
